Completed in 2005 to replace another hawker centre built in 1971, the Bedok Hawker Centre features Minangkabau-style architecture (which from the highlands of Sumatra, Indonesia) such as its distinctive steep roof. The interior of the food centre is arranged around a central courtyard, reminiscent of the communal life of Bedok’s kampong in the past.
勿洛小贩中心
勿洛小贩中心于 2005 年完工，以取代另一个建于 1971 年的小贩中心，其特色是米南加保风格的建筑（来自印度尼西亚苏门答腊的高地），例如独特的陡峭屋顶。美食中心的内部围绕着一个中央庭院布置，让人想起勿洛村过去的公共生活。
Hua Yu Wee seafood restaurant

Hua Yu Wee seafood restaurant was established in the 1950s in a colonial bungalow on the Upper East Coast Road. One of the few remaining vestiges of the once lively beachside dining scene that draws many to this part of Singapore. The restaurant is housed in a 1920s bungalow with a separate double storey wing, outhouse and steps to the former beachfront. Other popular restaurants in the area in the past include Long Beach Seafood, Palm Beach Seafood, Wyman’s Haven and Bedok Restaurant.
华友园海鲜
华友园海鲜成立于 1950 年代，它位于东海岸路上段的一栋殖民地平房内。曾经热闹的海滨餐饮场所的少数遗迹之一，吸引了许多人来到新加坡的这一地区。 餐厅位于一栋 1920 年代的平房内，设有独立的双层翼楼、外屋和通往前海滨的台阶。 过去位于该地区的其他受欢迎的餐厅包括长堤海鲜、棕榈滩海鲜、Wyman’s Haven 和 勿洛餐廳。
